Lawrence Bruno Nero Dallaglio OBE falls into a very small category of rugby players to reach superstar status. Born in Shepherd’s Bush, Lawrence was always more at home on the rugby field than in the classroom and represented his country at youth level from an early age.
The tragic death of his sister Francesca, an extremely talented ballerina, in the Marchioness disaster in 1989 contributed to the drive he acquired to achieve success, and to reward the unflinching support of his parents, Vincenzo and Eileen.
Since retiring from Rugby, Lawrence has become a household name, working as a pundit for BBC Sport, through his association with the Scala pasta brand, and through the many charitable fund raising ventures he has successfully completed. In 2010 Lawrence raised almost £1,000,000 for Comic Relief in a Six Nations Cycle Slam from Rome to Edinburgh. Most recently he completed the Dallaglio Flintoff Cycle Slam, which saw the pair ride from the birthplace of the Olympic Games in Greece to the venue for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. They raised close to £2million for Cancer Research UK and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Lawrence has an authoritative style and natural ability to engage with the audience offering them his insights on the nature of leadership, teamwork and overcoming adversity in sport, business and life.
