Jason Leonard gained a world record-breaking 114 caps for England during his 14-year international rugby career. His amazing achievements include England’s Rugby World Cup win in 2003, as well as 4 Grand Slams. Jason played in 4 World Cups and went on 3 British & Irish Lions tours, for which he gained 5 additional caps. At club level, he made a massive 290 appearances for Harlequins, spanning both the amateur and professional game. His list of accomplishments earned him an MBE for services to sport in 2002, which became an OBE after England’s Rugby World Cup success. Even since his retirement in 2004, Jason has remained highly involved in the world of rugby. He was President of the RFU from 2015-2016 and was recently appointed Chairman of the British & Irish Lions. Jason has supported the work of the Samson Centre for MS in Guildford over the years visiting on a number of occasions.
Andy Gomarsall played rugby professionally for 16 years, winning the World Cup in 2003, and playing in the final of RWC 2007. He was awarded an MBE for services to rugby in 2004. Playing at scrum-half for Gloucester Rugby, Harlequins and London Wasps, Andy played over 300 games during his professional career in addition to representing his nation on 35 occasions. Andy recently presented John Hambly with an award at the Sport Gives Back Ceremony, broadcast on ITV.
